Change your PHP version and settings

phpVMS 7 needs PHP 8.1 or later. The minimum version that's provided by vmshost currently is 8.3 - phpvms will work fine with it. Your current PHP version is on the Overview tab of your hosting plan in the client area.

Change the PHP version

  1. Open your hosting plan in the client area. On the Management tab, click PHP Version.
  2. Select the domain or subdomain that runs phpVMS.
  3. Choose the PHP version and click Apply.

Each domain and subdomain can use a different PHP version. If you change it, change your cron job to the same version. See Set up the phpVMS cron job.

Change PHP settings

On the Management tab, click PHP INI Editor. Here you can change settings such as memory_limit, upload_max_filesize and max_execution_time for each domain.

PHP extensions

phpVMS needs these PHP extensions: bcmath, cURL, fileinfo, intl, JSON, mbstring, OpenSSL, PDO, SimpleXML, tokenizer and zip.

The phpVMS installer checks them for you. If it reports that one is missing, open a ticket and tell us which one.
